Established in 2015
Our passion for the ocean began in the mid-70s as a child playing at the Orange County CA shoreline. As we grew older, our curiosity and inquisitive nature led us to a deeper respect and love for the sea. Our love for the ocean grew rapidly, and we soon found ourselves exploring the waves, surf, and developing surfing culture. In 1980, we completed a basic open water SCUBA dive certification, which opened up a whole new world to us.
Our journey continued in 1984, as we joined the US Navy, where we continued to gain dive certifications, eventually becoming a Dive-Master while in the South Pacific. At the same time, we were being trained in professional photography, which led to editorial photographic work.
Our passion for diving led us to Dive Charters in the South Pacific in the mid-1980s, where we had the opportunity to explore hundreds of wreck diving adventures. Our interactions with traveling sailors abroad opened the door to various sailing adventures, and we became hooked. We began sailing various islands in the South Pacific, which eventually led to the start of our private small Charter operation, racing, owning, and working with and sailing many various sized and styled sailboats and vessels. Our pursuits in professional photography opportunities and endeavors continued.
Upon our return to the mainland, photography took the lead role, and we established a successful Photographic company in 1992. However, our lifelong yearning and passion for sailing led us to blend our talents and aspirations with the love for traditional sailing vessels, and other aspects of life at sea. The “Oceanquest” concept was born, though one can see it was in the works for many years.
We have been providing unique and outstanding Sailing Adventures, Photography, Dive-master, and related services ever since. Our passion, intense dedication, steadfast work ethic, conscientious customer care, unique casual friendly style & service, and knowledge of the ocean are highly valued by our regular customers. Our specialty is in creating your ocean vision quest.
Our vessels are located in San Diego County, Orange County, and Hawaiian harbors, with office operations based out of San Diego, CA.
